Monocalcium phosphate (\(Ca(H_{2}PO_{4})_{2}\)) is used in food, animal feed, and as a fertilizer.

Food - Leavening agent : Monocalcium phosphate (MCPcap M cap C cap P) is a leavening agent in baked goods, pancake mixes, and cake mixes. It reacts with baking soda to produce carbon dioxide, which makes baked goods rise.

Acidulant and buffer : Monocalcium phosphate can be used as an acidulant and buffer in dry beverage mixes.

Flour additive : Monocalcium phosphate can be added to flour to improve its consistency and as an acid-neutralizing agent.

Animal feed - Feed additive: Monocalcium phosphate is a highly digestible additive in animal feed, especially for pigs and poultry. It's also used in feed premixes for calves and aquaculture.
